Many shoppers have chosen to buck the tradition of getting up early and fight the crowds, but instead stay snuggled up on the couch and shop from their computers. As one of the biggest shopping days of the year progressed, several online retailers have extended their Black Friday sales till midnight tonight to accommodate more shoppers.

Avoid sending major email marketing near holidays. People do not have time to check their emails as much since they are off doing things rather than sitting at their offices and computers or just preoccupied with other matters. The National Retail Federation expects sales to increase by 4 percent in 2007, raking in almost $475 billion between Thanksgiving and New Year's. If Black Friday shopping is on your holiday itinerary this year, you may want to take advantage of a few new strategies to make the most of your time!
